Abraham Isaac Kook (1865-1935) was a rabbi, philosopher, poet, and Rosh yeshiva, who held citizenships in both the Ottoman Empire and Mandatory Palestine. He was born in Latvia and had Latvian nationality. Kook studied at the prestigious Volozhin yeshiva.
