The Accord Project is a non-profit organization that aims to create open-source tools and standard models for computable legal contracts, also known as smart contracts. Open source means that anyone can freely use and contribute to development. The Accord Project is separated into distinct groups that focus on creating frameworks for enforceable legal contracts in several business areas, which include: supply chain, real estate, construction, financial services, venture capital, and token sales.
Accord is an initiative from Clause, a legal tech start-up focusing on data-driven contracts and a Software-as-a-Service product that is transitioning contracts from static documents into real-time, integrated, components of commercial systems.
