Albrecht VII, Duke of Mecklenburg (official name Albrecht VII; born on 25 July 1486; died on 5 January 1547), was a German politician, duke, and a minor ruler in North Germany of the 16th century. He held the nickname "the Handsome". Albrecht VII is known for having asserted claims to Scandinavian thrones based on the royal lineage of the House of Mecklenburg.
He was born in Germany and held German citizenship. Albrecht VII was the son of Magnus II, Duke of Mecklenburg and Sophie of Pomerania, Duchess of Mecklenburg. He was later the father of Anna of Mecklenburg, John Albert I, Duke of Mecklenburg, Ulrich II, Duke of Mecklenburg-Stargard, Anna of Mecklenburg-Schwerin, Christopher, Duke of Mecklenburg and Charles I, Duke of Mecklenburg.
Albrecht VII died in Schwerin.
