Perhaps decisive for Basinger was the story of the movie "Helena in a Box", the script of which she did not even bother to read, but gave verbal consent to shoot. After finally reading the script, she was horrified and refused to take the picture. The studio, which was to shoot the film, sued the actress for damages and the court ordered her to pay 6 million dollars in compensation. He takes great pleasure in Al Pacino's directorial debut, Looking for Richard, about a stage production of Shakespeare's play Richard III, a unique combination of documentary and drama.
