Aleksey Konstantinovich Tolstoy was a writer, playwright, poet, and novelist born on August 24, 1817 in Saint Petersburg, Russian Empire. He was educated at Moscow State University and Imperial Moscow University. Throughout his literary career, he used the pseudonym Краснорогский.
