Alexander Campbell (born on December 9, 1788) was a clergyman who held citizenship in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland. He was also a citizen of the Kingdom of Great Britain. Campbell was the founder of Bethany College in West Virginia, and he was widely known as a writer and translator.
Campbell was the son of Thomas Campbell, a minister, and grew up in a religious family. He later followed in his father's footsteps and became a clergyman. Alexander Campbell passed away on March 4, 1866 in Bethany, West Virginia.
