Alexander Lyman Holley (born July 20, 1832) was an engineer and inventor from the United States. He was born in Lakeville, Connecticut to Alexander H. Holley. Throughout his career, Holley worked in both an engineering and inventor role. He made valuable contributions to the industry and was inducted into the National Inventors Hall of Fame in 2006.
Holley was a key founding member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. He passed away on January 29, 1882, in Brooklyn.
