Alexander Pack is an investor and founder focused on cryptocurrency and financial technology. He is an early/seed investor in unicorns. He attended Hopkins school and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Wesleyan University.
In 2019, he established Imperii Partners, a crypto-native investment bank and advisory firm while in 2018, he co-established and became a managing partner of Dragonfly Capital, an integrated investment platform focused on Vietnam and other Southeast Asian emerging markets. In 2016, Pack became a director of network investing at Bain Capital Ventures, the venture capital and growth equity arm of Bain Capital. In 2015, he became a partner at AngelList, a platform for early-stage tech investing.
He was an investor with Arbor Ventures, an early-stage VC firm in Hong Kong, where he focused on opportunities in cross-border FinTech, EdTech, and blockchain technology. He was also an advisor at Numerai, a company regularizing financial data into machine learning problems for data scientists. Alexander invested in Polychain before founding Dragonfly to back companies operating in both the U.S. and China. Dragonfly has invested in Anchorage, a founding member of the Libra Association; libra competitor MakerDAO; CFTC-licensed institutional crypto exchange ErisX and others.
