Alfred Pringsheim (1850-1941) was a German mathematician known for his contributions to the field. He was born on September 2, 1850, in Oława, a town in present-day Poland. Pringsheim pursued his education at Humboldt University of Berlin, where he was mentored by mathematician Karl Weierstrass. During his lifetime, he held German citizenship.
