American photographer
Alfred Stieglitz (1864-1946) was an American photographer, curator, and writer of German descent. Born in Hoboken, New Jersey, Stieglitz was educated at the City College of New York and the Technical University of Berlin. Over his lengthy career, Stieglitz worked in various genres of photography, including portrait, cityscape, and landscape painting.
Stieglitz passed away on July 13, 1946, in New York City (8338473). He was survived by his child, Katherine Stieglitz.
