Algernon Blackwood (March 14, 1869 – December 10, 1951) was a British writer, novelist, and journalist known for his work in the supernatural fiction genre. Born in Greenwich, he held citizenship in both the United Kingdom and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland. Harriet Dobbs was his mother.
Blackwood is best known for his stories "The Willows" and "The Wendigo", both of which are considered classics in the genre of supernatural fiction. He passed away in Beckenham at the age of 82.
