Alois Riehl

Alois Riehl was an Austrian philosopher born on April 27, 1844, in Bolzano . He received his education at several institutions, including the University of Graz , University of Vienna , Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich , and the University of Innsbruck . Riehl held German citizenship .

Over his career, Riehl mentored a number of doctoral students, some of whom went on to make notable contributions in their respective fields. A few of these students include Oswald Spengler , Kurt Lewin , Richard Hönigswald , and Paul Hensel . Additionally, he mentored anthropologist Rudolf Martin and Heinrich Scholz .

Alois Riehl passed away on November 21, 1924, in Potsdam .
