AlphaSense is a San Francisco-based company that has created a search engine to analyze data for corporations and financial firms. It has been used by companies such as 3M, J.P. Morgan, Cardinal Health, and Equity Analysts.
AlphaSense uses technology including artificial intelligence and natural language processing, and the algorithms used on the platform also provide synonym recognition, so when a user searches with a keyword, they will receive results for similar keywords, which may be the ones that competitors are using. Therefore, they receive the same information as others in the same market.
The database used for the search engine contains information from sources such as broker research, company data, Security and Exchange (SEC) filings, transcripts, news, and trade journals. The platform also has security features, including Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) 256, a secure symmetric-key encryption standard, using 256-bit encryption keys.
