Amit Kaushal was appointed Group Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Holding in 2018. Amit leads Dubai Holding’s operations in over 13 countries and across a diverse range of sectors, including real estate, hospitality, retail, media, leisure and entertainment.
Over the course of his tenure, Amit has spearheaded several transformational initiatives that have helped drive Dubai’s thriving tourism industry and spur growth in strategic sectors in line with its economic diversification agenda. Most recently, he led the successful integration of Meraas into Dubai Holding to form one of the UAE’s largest and most diverse conglomerates. Amit has been instrumental in the success of key strategic projects of the Group in the UAE and internationally, including Ain Dubai, Dubai Creek Harbour, Dubai Hills Estate, Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab, The Carlton Tower Jumeirah, and many more.
Prior to his role as Group Chief Executive Officer at Dubai Holding, Amit held the position of Group Chief Financial Officer.
Amit has vast experience in financial services, having spent the earlier years of his career as an investment banker in London and Dubai. He has worked at Goldman Sachs, UBS and Deutsche Bank for more than a decade across transaction advisory, structuring and capital markets disciplines.
In addition to helming Dubai Holding as Group Chief Executive Officer, Amit currently sits on the boards of several regional and international hospitality, energy, retail and real estate organisations. Amit holds a Master of Philosophy degree in Finance from the University of Cambridge and a BSc with First Class Honours in Mathematics, Operational Research, Statistics and Economics from the University of Warwick.
A British national, Amit was schooled and raised in Kenya before attending university in the United Kingdom.
