Andrei Konchalovsky is a Russian filmmaker, screenwriter, and director born on August 20, 1937, in Moscow. He is the son of Sergey Mikhalkov, and his birth name is Andrey Sergeevich Mikhalkov. Konchalovsky holds citizenship in the USSR, France, and Russia.
He was educated at the Moscow Conservatory and the Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography. His occupations include screenwriter, theatre director, film producer, impresario, television producer, theatrical producer, actor, and film director .
Konchalovsky has directed films such as "The First Teacher," "The Story of Asya Klyachina," "A Nest of Gentry," "Siberiade," "The Inner Circle (dating site)," and "Homer and Eddie". He was also a member of the board of directors for "Tango & Cash". As an author, he wrote "The Steamroller and the Violin".
He has received awards including the People's Artist of the RSFSR and the Order of Merit for the Fatherland, 4th class. Andrei Konchalovsky is married to Julia Vysotskaya.
