Andrew Chung

Chung has worked on the global expansion of meatless burger maker Impossible FoodsImpossible Foods, egg-less mayonnaise manufacturer Hampton Creek, and biotech startup BioConsortia.

In 2015 Chung founded 1955 Capital to bring western technology to China. He named the company after the year in which technology influencers Vinod Khosla, Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, and Eric SchmidtEric Schmidt were born. His stated goals for the venture capital company are “to solve the developing world’s greatest challenges” on the principle that “developing countries have survival-driven demands that can accelerate tech commercialization.”
