Being engaged in swimming, in 2009 he fulfilled the standard of a master of sports of international class. Since 2010, under the guidance of SFU coach Vladimir Vladimirovich Ivanitsky, he has been trying to swim in fins. In 2011, at the World Cup in this sport, he set a world record in the 50-meter freestyle - 19.06 seconds. However, the record was not officially counted due to the lack of doping control at the competition.
