Kapoor has received numerous awards, including Zee Cine Awards, Filmfare Awards South, National Film Awards, IIFA Awards, Screen Awards, Times of India Film Awards, and Screen Actors Guild Awards .
Kapoor studied at St. Xavier's College in Kolkata and Mithibai College . He is married to Sunita Bhavnani and together they have three children, including actresses Sonam Kapoor and Rhea Kapoor, and actor Harshvardhan Kapoor . Kapoor's father is Surinder Kapoor .
