Anthony Burgess

Anthony Burgess, born John Anthony Burgess Wilson on February 25, 1917, was a writer from Manchester, United Kingdom. He was known for his extensive body of work, including his roles as a screenwriter, poet, composer, novelist, journalist, author, and dramaturge. Burgess was educated at Victoria University of Manchester and Xaverian College.

Under various pseudonyms, such as Джозеф Келл, Энтони Джилверн, and Энтони Пауэл, Burgess contributed to different fields in the literary world. His most notable work was the novel A Clockwork Orange. Burgess passed away in St John's Wood on November 22, 1993.
