Anthony Mann , officially known as Emil Anton Bundesmann , was an American film director, actor, screenwriter, theatre director, and film producer. Born on June 30, 1906, in San Diego, he held citizenship in the United States and went to Central High School in Newark, New Jersey.
Mann directed several notable films, including "The Naked Spur", "Winchester '73", "The Man from Laramie", "Bend of the River", "The Far Country", "The Tin Star", "God's Little Acre", "Man of the West", "Devil's Doorway", "Men in War", and "The Furies". He also directed movies like "T-Men", "The Glenn Miller Story", and used the alias Emil Anton Bundmann.
Mann passed away on April 29, 1967, in Berlin.
