Antônio Carlos Jobim

Antônio Carlos Jobim was born on January 25, 1927, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and passed away on December 8, 1994, in New York City. He was a Brazilian composer, pianist, guitarist, jazz guitarist, songwriter, record producer, singer, music arranger, and musician. Jobim was active in the music industry and was known for working in genres such as jazz, bossa nova, Latin jazz, and hard bop. He was also known by the pseudonyms Том Жобим and Tom Jobim.

Jobim held Brazilian citizenship and was educated at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. Throughout his career, he received various awards, including the Grammy Award for Best Latin Jazz Album.
