Anzu Partners is a venture capital and private equity firm investing in companies focused on industrial technologies that is headquartered in Washington, D.C. and was founded in 2014 by Whitney Haring-Smith, David Michael, and David Seldin. On December 5, 2016 Anzu Partners completed raising $128.4 million in capital for their Anzu Industrial Capital Partners, L.P. fund. The firm made the following public statement regarding how they plan on investing their fund:
We plan to invest in private companies with breakthroughs in the M’s -- materials, manufacturing, measuring, monitoring and modeling. Companies in these industries would probably never become a household brand name. But they impact everything in and around the house from your car to the items in your kitchen or medicine cabinet.
In 2019 Anzu Partners completed raising capital for their Anzu Industrial Capital Partners II, L.P. fund.
