Ari Juels is a faculty member at the Computer Science department of the Cornell University and a Professor at the Jacobs Technion-Cornell Institute, Cornell Tech in New York City. He has been working on blockchains, cryptocurrency, and smart contracts research. Juels' interest areas include computer security, cryptography, cybersecurity, user authentication, biometrics, security and privacy for the Internet of Things.
Juels received his BA in Latin Literature and Mathematics from Amherst College in 1991 and his PhD in Computer Science from the University of California. Berkeley in 1996. He was previously the Chief Scientist of RSA, Director of RSA Laboratories and an Engineer at Dell EMC. He is now a Co-Director of the Initiative for CryptoCurrencies and Contracts (IC3).
Ari Juels was named as an Innovator Under 35 by the MIT Technology Review and Computerworld’s 40 Under 40 list.
