Biography
Son of Vladimir Vysotsky and Lyudmila Abramova, older brother of Nikita Vysotsky.
Entered the scriptwriting faculty of VGIK. Studied the same course as Renata Litvinova and Roman Kachanov at K. Paramonova's workshop. Worked on television.
Family
Five children: Natalia, Vladimir, Nikita, Mikhail (born 2003), and Maria (born 2004).
His third wife works as a translator in Moscow, the two oldest children from his first marriage live with their mother in America. Daughter Natalya (b.1981) graduated from university in the USA. He took conversion and married an Orthodox Jew, in this marriage she gave birth to 7 children, the son Vladimir likes music, Nikita is fond of history and social studies.

Awards
The screenplay "Butterfly over the Herbarium" is the winner of the All-Russian competition for the best feature film screenplay in 2000. In 2002, Igor Maslennikov made a film based on this script, "Letters to Elsa".
