Arseniy Serhiiovych "ceh9" Trynozhenko (born January 3, 1989) is a Ukrainian professional Counter-Strike: Global Offensive caster and analyst and former professional Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Counter-Strike player and coach. He is most famous for his role as a supportive lurker in Natus Vincere from February 2010 to December 2013, when he retired from professional play. After retiring, ceh9 went on to become a popular commentator, streamer, youtuber, and personality in the Russian-speaking community.
Arseniy is considered to be one of the most experienced professional players of Counter-Strike. He was one of the pioneers of competitive CS in Western Ukraine. It was due to his leadership and volitional qualities, that many people became professional players of the local pro scene.
Ceh9 has undergone the long path with the most powerful teams of Ukraine: KerchNET, A-Gaming and pro100. In 2009 he was invited to become one of the Born to Win. Arseniy played one of the key roles in our squad, as he supported the team spirit. Apart from inspiring his teammates, he was a skillfull and reliable player in the game.
Each top team has the person, who makes most of the spadework. Ceh9 was that person for NAVI and he did great. In late 2013 Arseniy left CS:GO team. As per moment he's one of the most popular casters in Russian-speaking community.
He graduated from school number 17 in 2005. In the same year he entered Lviv Polytechnic National University at the faculty of applied mathematics. He plays computer games since childhood - from his birth in the family there was a computer. At first, these were different multi-genre games, undemanding to the system characteristics of a computer — Pac-Man and Heroes of Might and Magic: A Strategic Quest. Also, since childhood, Arseniy attended classes in English, judo, karate and swimming. His first computer gaming tournament was a Need for Speed: Porsche Unleashed tournament, when his father brought him to a computer club named "NAZGUL" — the largest computer club in the Ukraine in the 2000s, where he registered for the tournament, and although ceh9 did not win prizes, his esports career began here.
Arsenij "ceh9" Trinozhenko made his first steps in esports with the same NAZGUL gaming club.
It was, in my opinion, the year 2002, I was then a very young boy, in the class, maybe 9 or 8 and, therefore, they wrote on the site, on the local Lviv site, that the top Lviv team called "Rucheyok' (Trickle in English) is looking for either a fifth or a substitute, and, they said, come all to the casting (laughs). That is, you can’t imagine anything like that now, so those Na`Vi would look for a substitute in this way. Well, apparently, then the club director decided in this way to promote his club and team, since at that time each team had its own club and each team represented it. Well, I came, said: “I’m so-and-so-so, I want to play,” and there was such a director, he is 30-35 years old, says: “Sit down, play, here, 1x1 with our player.” I beat their representative 1x1 and he says that you’re in the team, you will be a backup player, here’s a discount for you in the club, and you can come for free, train, sit. At that time, there was still no Internet in all houses and a free admission to a computer club was very cool, especially since you play with people in the club and gain experience, unlike the house where you play with bots, so it was quite fun and interesting.
At that time, Arsenij played under the nickname "esenin" — this is due to the fact that he is a lover of Sergei Yesenin's creativity. The first team in which he began to play seriously was the Lviv team NumbazZ, in which esenin became the champion of Lviv, and therefore of Western Ukraine. In 2009, Arsenij was offered to move to a new team — KerchNET, where he meet starix. In the same year, KerchNET won ASUS Winter Cup 2009. Some time after winning the Asus Cup Winter 2009, esenin was kicked out of KerchNET and met Zeus, who brought him to pro100.
In 2009, with the help of the well-known philanthropist Murat Zhumashevich, known as the Arbalet, the Arbalet.UA team was founded, which eventually grew into Natus Vincere. At this time, esenin changed his nickname to "ceh9" - simplified from "Arsenij". It is in the composition of NaVi that he achieved the greatest success, in particular, for the first time in the history of Counter-Strike, the team won three major tournaments in one year — Intel Extreme Masters IV, ESWC 2010, and WCG 2010.
