Arthur Hiller (born November 22, 1923, in Edmonton, Canada, and died August 17, 2016, in Los Angeles) was a Canadian film producer, director, and actor. Hiller was educated at the University of Toronto and Victoria School of the Arts.
Throughout his career, Hiller directed various films and television episodes, including Romantic Comedy, Man of La Mancha, and Alfred Hitchcock Presents.
Some of his other directing projects include The Crazy World of Julius Vrooder, Outrageous Fortune, The Careless Years, and Miracle of the White Stallions. He also directed The Wheeler Dealers, The Americanization of Emily, and Promise Her Anything.
Hiller's additional directorial works include films like The Tiger Makes Out, Popi, The Out-of-Towners, Making Love, The In-Laws, and The Man in the Glass Booth. He directed Author! Author, The Lonely Guy, National Lampoon's Pucked, Married to It, and The Babe as well. His final film was An Alan Smithee Film: Burn Hollywood Burn.
