Arti.tv, also known as Arti, is a Tel Aviv-based technology company specializing in the development of augmented reality (AR) products. It was founded in 2019 and has partnered with companies and organizations such as Epic MegaGrant, Konektera, Mediability, and StormGeo. The stated goal of the team behind Arti is to democratize the use of AR and make it easily usable for both independent video producers and major broadcasters.
The Arti platform is cloud-based and acts as an AR studio that can be accessed from anywhere. There is no hardware necessary to use the platform, and the company behind it states that users only need a laptop, camera, and an Internet connection to make AR videos.
The platform uses technology including computer vision and deep learning algorithms to operate. Pre-built templates and objects can be utilized to create an AR story, and users can upload their own custom objects and information to develop their stories. They can then prepare a video stream by placing Arti's marker on a surface where the AR objects will appear. Video streaming can be initiated through apps such as Zoom, Google Meet, and YouTube.
The Arti platform can be used for the following:
- news broadcasting
- sports reporting
- weather forecasting presentations
- business presentations
- interviews
- sales pitches
- webinars
- growing subscribers list
- monetizing content
The company allowed interested parties to sign up for early access through its website in February 2022. Fees and costs for utilizing the platform have not been announced.
