The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) is an organization focused on association football and sports in Asia. It was founded in 1954 and is currently an active organization. The AFC's headquarters are located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This organization is a subsidiary of FIFA.
The AFC has several subsidiaries, including the ASEAN Football Federation, East Asian Football Federation, West Asian Football Federation, South Asian Football Federation, and Central Asian Football Association. Additionally, the AFC includes a number of national football associations such as Football Federation Australia, Football Association of Thailand, and Vietnam Football Federation. The organization uses the short name "AFC".
