Founded in 1983, Aspen Ventures is a Los Altos, California based venture capital firm. They preferred seed and early-stage investments in technology companies focused on software, communications, networking, security and life sciences, based out of the West Coast. Aspen Ventures invests in business-to-business solutions and does not invest in consumer focused companies.
When investing, Aspen Ventures seeks to invest between $3 to $5 million in its portfolio companies. Seed stage investments range between $300,000 to $500,000.
Formely known as 3i Ventures, their name was changed to Aspen Ventures in 1991.
Aspen Ventures has made investment in Starvox, PointBase, Taviz Technology, Reasoning Inc., Satmetrix, GridEdge Networks and Helicomm.
They exited their investment in PointBase.
