Autonomous University of Barcelona

Autonomous University of Barcelona, known in Spanish as Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona and in Catalan as Universitat Autónoma de Barcelona, is a public educational institute located in Bellaterra, Sabadell, Barcelona, Cerdanyola del Vallès, and Spain. The university was founded on June 6, 1968 and is accredited by the Ministry of Universities of Spain.

As a participant in the education, higher education, and university industries, the Autonomous University of Barcelona is also involved in the field of Proteomics. The university is a member of the Xarxa Vives d'Universitats and affiliated with the European University Association and the European Consortium of Innovative Universities.
