Autonomous University of Bucaramanga is a private educational institute located in Bucaramanga, Colombia. Founded in 1956, it is also known as Universidad Autónoma de Bucaramanga and operates within the education, higher education, and university industries.
The university is accredited by the Ministerio de Educación Nacional, Colombia; the National Accreditation Council, Colombia; and the Consejo Latinoamericano de Acreditación de la Educación en Periodismo. Its motto is "Soy Autónomo".
Autonomous University of Bucaramanga is affiliated with several networks and associations, including the Colombian Network for the Internationalization of Higher Education RCI, the Iberoamerican Association of Postgraduate Universities, the Red Universitaria Mutis, and the Corporación Red de Instituciones de Educación, Investigación y Desarrollo del Oriente Colombiano. The university is also a member of the Asociación Colombiana de Universidades and the Red Latinoamericana de Cooperacion Universitaria.
