The BVCA was founded in 1983 and Sir David Cooksey was the firm's first Chair, formerly the Director of the Bank of England, Governor and Director of Wellcome Trust. Currently, the firm's Chair is Charlie Troup, Managing Partner of Duke Street since 2006.
