Founded by Willi Becker in 1946, Becker Marine Systems has developed into the market leader for Manoeuvring Systems and Energy-Saving Devices for any type of ship. Alternative Energy solutions such as the LNG Hybrid Barge and Maritime Battery Systems like the COBRA Compact Battery Rack further strengthen the company's leading role in the marine industry. The founding of an Alternative Energies department for the utilisation of LNG and other energy sources in 2011 was of strategic significance. This enabled Becker’s maritime expertise to focus more strongly on sustainability. Consequently, Becker has developed the LNG Hybrid Barge and the containerised Becker LNG PowerPac® as modern, environmentally-friendly, safe and economical options for supplying power based on LNG to ships during layovers in port.
