Ben Zhou is a cofounder and CEO of Bybit, a cryptocurrency derivatives exchange headquartered in Singapore. From 2010 to 2017, he worked as the Chinese General Manager of XM, a forex and CFD broker.
Zhou spent his teenage years in New Zealand and attended university in the United States. He then returned to China to work at XM for seven years before cofounding Bybit in early 2018. In 2017, he formed a YouTube channel to educate viewers about cryptocurrency before Bybit was established.
Zhou got into crypto in mid-2016 after hearing about blockchain technology and the token economy system. After researching the crypto market, he began creating video reviews of projects and used WeChat to foster the crypto knowledge exchange between the Western and Asian worlds.
