$BETTER is a token with a one-for-one model. A certain part of every purchase goes toward supporting the Better Climate Fund. Better is a featured Climate Solutions project on Gitcoin Grants.

Through the Better DAO, a decentralized community using social coordination and blockchain-based solutions to manage the fund, the platform's ecosystem uses the ERC-20 $BETTER governance and utility token.

Better introduced the BETTER BUDDIES NFTs as the flagship of different branded products that are created to grow the value of the climate fund. The platform aims to drive commerce and awareness about climate change through non-fungible tokens (NFTs), merchandise, and collaborations with climate-friendly brands.

NCT tokens will be purchased, redeemed, and retired to realize offsetting on behalf of the fund and DAO. Future fund allocations may be given to initiatives like GreenChip NFTs focusing on varying areas of climate impact, tokenized climate impact tokens, and potentially individual donations to causes accepting payment via Web3 rails. At launch, the fund was given 50 percent of total $BETTER supply of 100,000,000 tokens.
