Bing Crosby, born Harry Lillis Crosby, was an American radio personality, actor, screenwriter, poet, and singer. He was born on May 3, 1903, in Tacoma, Washington and held citizenship in the United States. Bing Crosby passed away on October 14, 1977, in La Moraleja.
Crosby was educated at Gonzaga Preparatory School and Gonzaga University. He also attended North Central High School in Spokane, Washington. Throughout his career, he explored various genres of music, including jazz, pop music, swing music, country music, traditional pop music, easy listening, and vocal jazz.
Bing Crosby was a father to seven children: Lindsay Crosby, Phillip Crosby, Harry Crosby (businessman), Nathaniel Crosby, Dennis Crosby, and Mary Crosby. He went by various pseudonyms, including his famous nickname, Bing, and Bingsy. Throughout his career, Crosby received several accolades, including the prestigious Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.
