Biobeat is a company offering a device for monitoring and measuring patient vital signs in real-time using wireless, non-invasive, medical-grade technology that is headquartered in Petah Tiqva, Israel and was founded in 2014 by Arik Ben Ishay. The company's medical monitoring device is made to provide health monitoring solutions of hospitals, telehealth, and in-home medical services.
The medical monitoring device made by Biobeat is in the form factor of a watch, and is capable of monitoring blood pressure, respiratory rate, blood oxygen saturation, pulse rate, heart rate variability, stroke volume, cardiac output, cardiac index, pulse pressure, systemic vascular resistance, one lead ECG (patch only), mean arterial pressure, sweat level, and skin temperature. The device also has approval by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for cuffless, non-invasive, blood pressure measurements, blood oxygen saturation measurements, and pulse rate measurements.
All data obtained through the Biobeat medical device can be viewed and analyzed through the Biobeat web platform which obtains information from the device through cloud computing technology.
On October 2, 2018 Biobeat announced raising an undisclosed amount of seed funding from Hangar 51. The seed funding came from the company's participation in Hangar 51's accelerator program which chose Biobeat as one of the top ten accelerator finalists.
