Blue Sky Studios

Blue Sky Studios, a subsidiary founded by Chris Wedge on January 1, 1987, is a computer animation company based in Greenwich, Connecticut. The studio started as part of 20th Century Fox and later became part of Fox Entertainment Group. With the acquisition of 21st Century Fox by The Walt Disney Company, Blue Sky Studios also became a division of Walt Disney Studios. Throughout its history, the company has been assigned three patents.

As part of the animation industry, Blue Sky Studios competes with other companies such as A24. The Walt Disney Company continues to serve as the owner of Blue Sky Studios.
