Boris Shakhlin

Boris Shakhlin (27 January 1932 - 30 May 2008) was a Soviet athlete and professor. He held citizenship in the Soviet Union and was born in Ishim, Tyumen Oblast. Shakhlin later passed away in Kyiv.

Throughout his life, Shakhlin received numerous awards and accolades, including the Order of Lenin, Order of Merit (Ukraine), Order of the Red Banner of Labour, Order of the Badge of Honour, Jubilee Medal "In Commemoration of the 100th Anniversary of the Birth of Vladimir Ilyich Lenin", Medal "Veteran of Labor", Medal "In Commemoration of the 1500th Anniversary of Kiev", Olympic Order, Master of Sports of the USSR, and the Lenin Komsomol Prize.
