Boris Volynov

Boris Volynov was born on December 18, 1934, in Irkutsk. He was educated at the Zhukovsky Air Force Engineering Academy. Volynov's occupations include aircraft pilot, astronaut, and engineer. He holds citizenship in both the Soviet Union and Russia.

Throughout his career, Volynov received several awards and honors, including Hero of the Soviet Union, Pilot-Cosmonaut of the USSR, Order of Merit for the Fatherland (4th class), Order of Friendship, Order of Lenin, Order of the Red Star, Medal "For Distinction in Guarding the State Border of the USSR," and Medal Brotherhood in Arms. Boris Volynov is the child of Yevgenia Izrailevna Volynova.
