Bottomline Technologies is a company providing a payment software intended to assist companies and financial institutions. The company offers a set of cloud-based digital banking, fraud prevention, payment, financial documentation, and healthcare solutions that assist with the facilitation of electronic payment, electronic invoicing, and spend management.

In December 2021, Bottomline Technologies announced entering into a definitive agreement to be acquired by Thoma Bravo, a software investment firm, in an all-cash transaction valuing Bottomline at approximately $2.6 billion. When the transaction is complete, Bottomline will become a privately held company.
