British rock musician, former member of the rolling stones
Brian Jones, born Lewis Brian Hopkin Jones on February 28, 1942, is best known as the founder and original leader of the Rolling Stones. He was born in Cheltenham, and his birth name was Lewis Brian Hopkin Jones. Jones studied at Pate's Grammar School and Dean Close School.
He was a versatile musician with expertise in various genres, including psychedelic rock, rock and roll, rock music, rhythm and blues, and blues rock. His roles encompassed being a guitarist, record producer, songwriter, composer, bandleader, multi-instrumentalist, and singer.
Jones passed away on July 3, 1969 in Hartfield. He was also known by his pseudonym Элмо Льюис (Elmo Lewis).
