New zealander racecar driver, designer and team owner
Bruce McLaren (1937-1970) was a New Zealand engineer who was born in Auckland and held citizenship of the country. He studied at Auckland University of Technology and went on to become the founder of McLaren, a renowned automotive and racing company.
As an engineer, McLaren had a notable occupation which led to his founding of the McLaren automotive company. Tragically, his life was cut short when he passed away at the Goodwood Circuit in the United Kingdom on June 2, 1970.
Despite his untimely death, Bruce McLaren's legacy lives on through the company that he built and the numerous advancements he made in the field of automotive engineering.
