Buck Clayton, born Wilbur Dorsey Clayton, was an American jazz musician, composer, and writer in the music industry. He was born on November 12, 1911, in Kansas and held United States citizenship. Throughout his career, he used the pseudonym Buck Clayton.
Clayton contributed to the jazz genre as a musician and later received the Grammy Award for Best Album Notes. He passed away in New York City on December 8, 1991.
