C. S. Lewis, also known as Clive Staples Lewis, was a British writer, poet, novelist, philosopher, and screenwriter. He was born on November 29, 1898, in Belfast and held citizenship in the United Kingdom. He passed away on November 22, 1963, in Oxford.
Lewis was educated at various institutions, including University College, Oxford, Malvern College, Campbell College, and Wynyard School. His written works spanned multiple genres, such as science fiction, apologetics, and fantasy.
Some of his notable works include 'Mere Christianity', 'The Chronicles of Narnia', 'The Screwtape Letters', 'Till We Have Faces', and 'The Space Trilogy'. Additionally, Lewis authored other renowned books such as 'Surprised by Joy'.
Under the pseudonyms Clive Hamilton and N. W. Clerk, Lewis continued to contribute to the literary world. He had one child, Douglas Gresham.
