Cachette Capital Management is a Fund of Funds with offices in Oakland, Zurich and Amsterdam that specializes in early stage venture capital investing. The fund was started in the early 2017 by Ellie Cachette, former software designer and entrepreneur.
The concept behind the fund is to provide investors the ability to obtain the potential benefit of having their capital diversified among various venture capital firms.
Its first fund, $1BN in size, invests in early stage venture capital funds focusing on the software and tech industries. Cachette Capital Management targets for investment funds that are generally $30 - $150MM in size and invest from the Pre-Seed and up to Series B rounds.
The fund's positions are split equally between U.S. and Europe, in proportion of 45% each, with the remaining 10% allocated to emerging markets. ⅓ of the fund's capital is placed into Debut funds and the other ⅔ is covered by legacy or continued funds.
