Calcio Como

The football club "Como" was organized in the city of the same name in 1907 under the name Como Foot-Ball-Club. In 1910, the club became a member of the FFI and began to play in various regional tournaments. In 1926, merging with the Esperia FC team, it received the name AC Comense (later, in 1936, the name will change to AS Como, and in 1938, after merging with AS Ardita, to AC Como). Before the Second World War, Como managed to rise to Serie B as much as possible. For the first time in its history, Como entered Serie A in 1949 and played there for four years (and in the first season took a fairly high sixth place), before relegation to Serie B. Como played in Serie B and Serie C for the next 20 seasons.
