Callisto Network

Callisto Network is a smart contract platform based on a proof-of-work blockchain. Its native coin is CLO. Callisto Network was launched by the developers of Ethereum Commonwealth. The platform initiated the Proof of Safety program, designed to spotlight projects with secure smart contracts.

The EVM-based chain supports the execution of smart contracts written in Solidity, making it compatible with Ethereum. It is also compatible with various EVM-based chains like Binance Smart Chain, Polygon, and Avalanche. Therefore, smart contracts and DAPPs developed for these chains can migrate to Callisto Network without code changes.

Callisto Network uses the proof-of-work (PoW) consensus mechanism. It also relies on a deflationary monetary policy created to reduce the number of CLO coins in circulation during periods of increased network utilization, in order to increase its value. Callisto Coin (CLO) can also be referred to as a “store-of-value” currency.
