Canute IV of Denmark (1042-1086) was a Danish monarch and king[(81866351)]. Born in Denmark, he was the son of Sweyn II of Denmark. Canute IV had three children: Charles I, Count of Flanders; Ingegerd Knutsdatter; and Cecilia Knutsdatter.
During his reign, Canute IV founded Katedralskolan, Lund, an educational institution in medieval Scandinavia. Canute IV died on 10th July 1086 in Odense, a city located in Denmark, the country of his citizenship.
