In an effort to decarbonize the UK, the company provides financial support to projects such as Combined Heat & Power (CHP) and Biomass by reinvesting a share of their profits. Carbon Footprint has provided services to hundreds of organizations, including the UK Government, United Nations, IKEA, Deutsche Bank, Pfizer, Winchester University, Candy Group, and Bagnall & Morris Waste Services. The services and tools offered by Carbon Footprint are carbon footprinting, cloud-based carbon tracking, reporting verification, energy management, training, and ISO support.
The company provides carbon footprint appraisal reports that outline the sources of emissions within the operations of a business, along with CO2 emission-reducing and cost-saving strategy suggestions. A consultancy service is also available, which offers carbon management support for a year following the assessment.
The assessments utilize industry standard protocols, such as the WRI/WBCSD Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol and ISO14064-1, as well as internationally recognized emissions factors databases. The reports are provided in formats compliant with Mandatory Greenhouse Gas Reporting (MGHG) and Streamlined Energy and Carbon Reporting (SECR). The appraisals are based on a set of operational parameters, such as energy usage, travel, transport, and supply chain analysis if it applies. The objectives of the appraisal program are to:
- Increase sales through customer tender action requirements
- Save energy and operational costs
- Precisely address climate change mitigation through target setting
- Meet supply chain requirements and legislation compliance needs
- Create PR opportunities by improving sustainability credentials
- Attract investors and help to meet CSR objectives
Carbon Footprint's cloud-based carbon tracking software, Sustrax (Sustainability Tracking), is designed to simplify environmental reporting. This tool can be used to track key performance indicators (KPI) in relation to mandatory reporting, such as the Greenhouse Gas Reporting Program (GHGRP), Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme (ESOS), Climate Change Agreements (CCA), Streamlined Energy & Carbon Reporting (SECR), and EU Sustainability Reporting, and in relation to standards such as ISO 14001, ISO 14064, ISO 50001, and OHSAS 18001.
